This month, we took additional meaningful steps toward bringing Ayoku’s vision to life — a place of rest, restoration, and reconnection. Every phase of this renovation is not just about construction; it’s about preparing a space where guests can breathe deeply and feel held by their surroundings.
Progress Highlights:
- Demolition was completed this month, clearing the way for new growth.
- Landscaping began with the clearing of brush and overgrowth around the healing house, opening up the land to light, movement, and new energy.
- Pool removal has begun—shifting the space toward a more natural, grounded environment
- The outdoor dining area is taking shape, as the pavers were delivered and installation is now underway.
- Electrical and plumbing work also progressed, including key accessibility upgrades to create a more inclusive and welcoming space.
As with any project grounded in care and intention, a few unexpected challenges arose—leading to structural improvements in the barn bathrooms and critical improvements to plumbing and electrical systems. These adjustments are helping us build a space that is beautiful, safe, and nurturing..
